Jessi McCurry wins the Martina Roseberry Juvenile Sportsmanship Award!

Senior, Jessi McCurry wins the Martina Roseberry Juvenile Sportsmanship Award!

Requirements: The juvenile has to be nominated and nomination letters written about the individual. Then all the nominees are voted on by a committee.
This is what was read before giving Jessi the award:

Many adjectives were used in nominations for our Juvenile Sportsmanship Award winner for the 2015 Season.

If equine activities -riding and driving- were her only extra curricula activities that alone would make for a long story, but she is competitive in other sports as well, especially basketball , in this her senior year of high school.
This talented and determined rider, well known for never saying never, has been called on to catch ride and drive for other trainers, be that a pony, a horse, or a road horse, at shows in and out of the Carolinas.  She rides and drives the best, and is a gracious competitor.  When her special gaited horse was out for part of this season, she may have been crying on the inside but carried on, with her trademark smile in place, all the while cheering for and supporting her fellow competitors, old and young!

Her performance show record begins with 2005 when she hit the ring with Scoot Boot and Boogie, then G A Town Harlett and Callaway's North Wind, Her Name Is Lola, and Leatherwood's Hat's Off, Callaway's Compatible, and most recently CH iTunes, My Dreamboat Annie, and her beloved CH Hey name a few!

One nominator wrote "she is the epitome of what we want our ASAC Youth to be".

Help me congratulate our Juvenile Sportsmanship Award winner.......Jessi McCurry!

Congratulations Jessi!  SCA is so proud of you!
