Congratulations to Logan Morris and Michael Burgess!

The SCA Cross-country teams ran in the Eye Opener Saturday, Sep. 5 along with 2,000 other runners from public and private schools.

•    Logan Morris continues to set records.  Logan not only won, she set the course record and therefore became the fastest runner in Eye Opener history running 18:12.  She was named the overall Runner of the Week.
•    Molly Suttle made some history of her own.  She was the top 7th grader in the race and her time was one of the best in SCA history.
•    Chloe Peden also did well, she is now one of the 10 best 8th graders in all of South Carolina.
•    The Varsity boys had their best Eye Opener ever- they finished 23rd out of 50 teams, beating many public school teams.
•    Michael Burgess became the first SCA guy ever to win an award at Eye Opener.  He finished 5th out of 400 runners and ran the 2nd fastest time in SCA history. He was named SCISA Runner of the Week.
•    Matthew Burgess and Jameson Edwards were in the top 3 for SCA.
•    Tyler Remington was SCA's top JV boy, while Kelsey Pace and Kaylee Copeland were SCA's top JV girls.
