Queen of Diamonds Showcase

Hannah Houge, a sophmore from Spartanburg Christian Academy has recently been selected to compete in the Queen of Diamonds Showcase South (QDSS) at Winthrop University on August 30th and 31st, 2014.  The QDSS is now in its 8th season and is part of the Queen of Diamond's Showcase events, which are the largest fast pitch softball showcases of its kind in the U. S. These events continue to attract athletes from 21+ states and 2 Canadian Provinces and have over 1500+ applicants of which only 264 athletes are selected. The showcase is very unique as athletes actually apply to this event individually and are selected based on many criteria ranging from ability, potential, academics, grad year, coach's requests and referrals.  Hannah is a pitcher and also plays for the Carolina Crush travel ball team.  At Spartanburg Christian Academy, Hannah had a record of 12-1 an ERA of 0.72 and averaged 2 stirkeouts per inning.
