Spartanburg Sings

The following students represented Spartanburg Christian Academy in the 3rd annual Rotary Club Spartanburg Sings concert: Hannah Houge, Sarah Boler, Ryvim Sergeychuk, Andrew Bryan, Lucas Neidlinger, and Harrison McGinnis . The students came from 18 middle schools throughout Spartanburg County. SCA was the only private school represented.  They were under the direction of choral conductor, Dr. Alicia Walker, Assistant Professor of Music at The University of South Carolina School of Music. The 100 voice chorus rehearsed for three hours on Friday and 5 hours on Saturday, culminating in a concert for parents and the community at The Spartanburg School District Three Community Fine Arts Auditorium  on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Congratulations to these students.

The diverse concert selections included “The Storm is Passing Over”,  “Down by the Riverside”, “ Tshotsholoza” from “South African Suite”, “Dona Nobis Pacem”, “Who Can Sail?” “Inscription of Hope” and “Let There be Peace on Earth”
