3 Time SCISA State Track Champions!

The SCA track teams competed in the SCISA State Track meet in Sumter on Saturday.

The SCA girls won their 3rd straight state title- barely beating Trinity Collegiate 30-26.

  • Logan Morris was the high point scorer of the meet as she won the 3200 meters, the 1600 meters and the 800 meters.  This is the 2nd straight year an SCA athlete has earned this honor.
  • The most exciting race was the last race of the day- the relay.  The SCA team of Taylor Morris, Kristen Hammack, Madison Seay and Logan Morris had to place 2nd or better to win the team title, but the competition was tough.  The girls ran the best race of the year and came in first place, set a new school record, and secured the 3-peat.
  • Kaylin Rogers, Madison Burgess and Rachel Steele also scored points and contributed to the win.
  • On the boys side, Isaac McCullough and Matt Cook became just the 2nd and 3rd SCA runners in history to run the meet,as they placed 4th and 5th in their races.
It was a great day and a great season for SCA track and field.
