Competition Cheer Wins First Place at Gaffney

The SCA Competitive Cheer team began their 5th season by traveling to Colleton Preperatory Adacemy for the Warhawk Invitational. The SCA team took 1st place with a score of 225 against 3 other SCISA 2A schools.  This was a great way to start the season and to size up some of the squads they will meet again at the SCISA State Championship on October 16 at Ben Lippen.  Way to go Warriors!
After evaluating the weak areas from their first competition, the SCA Competitive Cheer Team took to the mats this week working on increasing the difficulty of their partner stunts and pyramid.  The team experienced a huge set back when on Thursday one of the team members injured her knee.  While awaiting the results of an MRI we had to quickly and creatively create a plan B. So for the Saturday Indian Invitational at Gaffney High the team picked up a new "surprise" member.  Matthew Harrison stepped up to help the team continue to stick their stunts and keep their pyramid flying high.  The team took first place 2A Co-ed division.  We Are truly Warriors!
