High School Fall Retreat

Event Date:
Wednesday, September 20, 2017 (All day) - Friday, September 22, 2017 (All day)
Location:Traci Arledge
Event Type:

YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain, NC will be the site of this year’s high school retreat.

The area we will be staying in is wooded and your child will be walking a lot. Please see their website at https://www.blueridgeassembly.org/. We will continue to have our student government plan those 3 days away. Our praise team will lead our worship and we will have a guest speaker that will be named at a later date.

The retreat is a great bonding experience for our student body as we speak life into them away from the school setting. We are very excited about what God is going to do during our time away. Please be praying for the retreat over the next few weeks.

Departure and Return:
We will begin loading the luggage truck at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20th at the ticket office entrance. We will be leaving school at 9:15 a.m. and returning at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22nd. High school students will be dismissed upon arrival back at school on Friday.

Any student who does not attend the Retreat will have to complete 10 hours of service or they will receive 3 unexcused absences for those days. Students will be asked to use the service hour’s documentation that we use for graduation. Those hours will need to be turned in to the front office prior to November 1st. Please remember that students with over 5 unexcused absences could be in danger of losing credits for classes. All students who attend the retreat have to participate in required activities that teach leadership and servant skills.

If you have other questions, contact Jerry Boyd, High School Principal at jboyd@fbns.org or 864-699-6599.
