Is an exciting campaign asking parents, pupils and teachers to incorporate regular physical activity into their daily lives by walking to and from school whenever possible. At SCA we have chosen to walk at school on October 12, 2011. Last year there were students, parents and grandparents who participated in the Warrior Walk.

October is designated as the International Walk to School Month- giving children, parents, school teachers and community leaders an opportunity to be part of a global event as they celebrate the many benefits of walking.

The first ever International Walk to School Day took place on October 4, 2000.  Great Britain, Canada, United States, Ireland, Cyprus, Gibraltar, and the Isle of Man participated.  Over 2 and ½ million were estimated to have participated.  In 2009 schoolchildren from 42 countries participated in an International Walk to School Month throughout October.

There will be opportunities for individual and family fitness throughout the fall.  Let’s all come out and start this fall season desiring to become “Our Best for GOD’S Glory”
