Taylor Morris is the winner of the Chapman Cultural Center's Youth Art Banner Competition!     “Freedom of Expression” is now hanging as a very large banner from the main building at the Chapman Cultural Center for all to see. Taylor was recognitioned Tuesday, March 19 at the Chapman Cultural Center for her artwork.

These students' projects were placed in the Upstate Science Fair.  They were awarded the following:

Samantha Arp - Middle School Math/Computer Science Honorable Mention 3rd place Award

Rylie Bowen - Middle School Behavior/Social 1st place Award

Zachary Pressley - U. S. Navy Junior Award

Tyler Vojta - Middle School Chemistry 2nd place Award

SCA hosted the ACSI District Spelling Bee on February 8th.  163 students from Blue Ridge Christian Academy, Greenville Classical Academy, Mitchell Road Christian, Mt. Zion, Palmetto Christian Academy, Southside Christian School and SCA participated in the spelling bee.   

The following students represented Spartanburg Christian Academy in the 3rd annual Rotary Club Spartanburg Sings concert: Hannah Houge, Sarah Boler, Ryvim Sergeychuk, Andrew Bryan, Lucas Neidlinger, and Harrison McGinnis . The students came from 18 middle schools throughout Spartanburg County. SCA was the only private school represented.  They were under the direction of choral conductor, Dr. Alicia Walker, Assistant Professor of Music at The University of South Carolina School of Music.

This award is presented each year to a youth member with a sportsmanlike attitude, who, among many other things, is a role model for her peers, and exhibits dedication to the American Saddlebred and ASAC.
