The SCA girls won their 4th straight SCISA 2A championship in track on Saturday- as they tied Trinity Collegiate.  Three of SCA's 4 titles have been decided by 5 points or less- so the close result is something the girls expect.
Only 7 girls made the trip- and every one of them made a crucial contribution to the title.
Logan Morris won 3 events for the 2nd straight year.  She won the 3200, 1600, and 800 meters.
Madison Seay won the 100 hurdles and set a school record on her leg of the 4 by 800 relay- which also came in 1st.

Reagan Huggins has been playing softball since the first grade.
 Several years of hard work and practice has now translated to her becoming the first player at Spartanburg Christian Academy to sign a college softball scholarship.
 Huggins, a shortstop/third baseman, inked with Spartanburg Methodist College inside her school’s gymnasium on Wednesday. She said having an opportunity to play collegiately is the reward for her dedication.

Fifth grader, Trey Crosby won 2 awards at USC Upstate's Golden Shoe Awards Ceremony!  He won The Best Young Actor and the Best Newcomer (Actor) Awards.  Congratulations Trey! We are proud of you!
 

On Saturday April 28, SCA band students participated in South Carolina Music Educators National Convention Solo and  Ensemble Festival held at Westside High School in Anderson and received 12 Superior ratings and 1 Excellent rating.  The superior ratings received a medal and certificate, and the excellent ratings received a certificate. There were over 2000 participants.

Emily Katherine Dalton was accepted into the WinShape College Program. The program exists to cultivate college students who will develop disciples, create community and launch leaders to impact every generation. Involvement in the program includes Christian worldview and leadership training for Chick-fil-A employees who have demonstrated leadership, drive, an integrity during their educational experience at Berry College in Rome, GA. Of the 120 applicants, Emily was one of 12 girls and 23 guys to be accepted.
